Garrett Weir – TCU Alumni – Class of 2021

(Garrett) is thrilled to make his DTC debut in The Supreme Leader! He graduated in May of 2021 from Texas Christian University where he is obtained his BFA in Theater with an Acting emphasis. With Theater TCU, notable credits include 42nd Street, Pericles, Children of Eden, Batboy and A Streetcar Named Desire. Regionally, Garrett made his professional debut this summer in Okoboji Summer Theater’s 63rd season, where he was in Grease, Clue: On Stage!, Ken Ludwig’s The Gods of Comedy, and Urinetown.

Born and raised in sunny San Diego, Garrett has also been featured as leading roles in independent and student films, as well as countless other theatrical performances along the way. It is truly an honor for Garrett to join the company of Dallas Theater Center, and he is humbled and ecstatic for the opportunity to bring his own unique energy to this story as a charming antagonist, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. None of this would be possible without the unceasing support from those he loves and those who have mentored him, and he would like to dedicate his first Equity performance to his parents for their unending support of his journey.
