Nationally regarded as a leader in the field, Dallas Theater Center is the largest professional theater in North Texas. Since 1959, its critically acclaimed productions have earned standing ovations while innovative educational programs have captivated young minds and inspired diverse audiences throughout the Metroplex. More than 109,000 patrons participate in programming each year.
Under artistic director Kevin Moriarty, DTC produces plays in the unique Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre and infuses each new production with a fresh and inventive use of the performance space. With a growing emphasis on producing new plays and musicals, DTC has garnered national attention for the outstanding quality of its work. Give It Up! (now titled Lysistrata Jones) and Giant both went on to New York productions that earned nominations for Tony Award®s, Obies, and Drama Desk Awards.
As a non-profit theater, ticket sales comprise only half of DTC’s revenues. We rely on the generous support of individuals, businesses, and institutions to help keep our ticket prices low and to provide educational programming and community engagement activities for little or no cost. Your support is essential to excellence of DTC’s productions and programs.
