As we all navigate this uncharted waters, we’re reminded that the heartbeat of our community is shared moments of creating or experiencing theater together. While nothing can fully replace those in-person connections and conversations that live theater generates, we have developed a digital version of our American Mariachi performance so we may remain connected with you.  Tickets can be purchased through this page.

We appreciate your continued support and your understanding as we make decisions in the best interest of our team, and our community. Please take care of yourselves and each other.

Can I cast or mirror the video to my device?  Mirroring and casting the video is not recommended as the connection may fail, requiring you to login again (you have a limited number of logins before your video will be locked). If you are using Chromecast, you can cast the video from your laptop, but not your phone. Again, we recommend you watch directly on your device or use an HDMI cable.

Does the video work on a Roku device? Some have experienced issues with Roku, we recommend you use an HDMI cable to directly to the TV.

Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre,  MARCH 14 – APRIL 5, 2020

Spending her days caring for her ailing mother, Lucha yearns to break her monotonous routine. Here’s a wild idea: an all-girl mariachi band! But it’s the 1970s, and girls can’t be mariachis… or can they? As Lucha and her spunky cousin hunt for bandmates, dodge disapproving relatives, and bring Mom along for the ride, they wonder: will the band come together? American Mariachi is a heartwarming and hilarious comedy about family, progress, and the freedom to dream big that will send your heart soaring and put a bounce in your step with a wave of vibrant, infectious live music.  A huge hit in San Diego and Denver, now coming to Dallas, before moving on to Chicago.
A co-production with Goodman Theatre.
