Mr. Torres-Ramos will take us through an overview on the history of mariachi and then address each of the panelists to allow them to provide their perspective. Several questions will be formulated in advance that touch on subjects found in the play – women mariachi (in a man’s world), musical choices (traditional vs contemporary), musical abilities (oral vs written/ theory), etc., etc. Panel concludes with closing statements from each and then opens for questions from audience.
