Rehearsal
The Winter’s Tale held rehearsals over 26 days. Actors had to learn choreography, songs and dialogue across a cast of more than 100 people from our principles and community ensemble. There were also 7 cameo groups of over 30 people that appear throughout the play that represent various cultural organizations across Dallas. Here are a couple of clips from our rehearsal process.
Set Design
The set design for The Winter’s Tale was created by Emmy award winning designer Jason Sherwood. See more of his work here. Listen more to Jason talk about the design process for another Shakespeare production of The Taming of the Shrew at Shakespeare Theater Co.
Costumes
The beautiful costumes in the play were designed by none other than Mari Taylor. Check out her portfolio and more of her renderings from the show here.
