We are currently seeking an intern to join our Education Department during the months of June and July to provide leadership for our 2017 SummerStage program. This exciting summer internship is a hands-on, engaging opportunity for an individual interested in arts education and the world of professional theater.

This position is ideal for college students with an interest in Education and Theater Education. Selected candidates will gain experience working with children, professional teaching artists, and the education department of a large regional theater.

This position is ideal for high school students interested in theater, education, leadership, and working with early elementary ages.

MASTER CARPENTER

The Master Carpenter is responsible for ensuring that the scenic design is manufactured and built to the Technical Director’s specifications and in accordance with the design guidelines and limitations of each production. The Master Carpenter is an important role, providing a through line of information from the Technical Director to the scene shop and other production departments.

The ideal candidate is an undergraduate college student with interest in arts marketing, public relations, digital media, ticketing, and media buying. Dallas Theater Center seeks a Web Content Intern to provide support to DTC’s marketing department. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate college student with interest in the arts and web management. Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and superior organizational and task management skills. Knowledge and experience with image editing software and CKEditor or other content management apps a plus.

STAGE MANAGEMENT OBSERVERS

Dallas Theater Center seeks Stage Management Observers for our 2015-2016 season. SM Observers will assist the Stage Management staff and have the opportunity to observe and participate in DTC rehearsals and tech rehearsals. This is a volunteer position and it is best suited, but not limited, to those interested in pursuing Stage Management as a career. Appropriate applicants may seek professional internship credit with his/her current college or university (as appropriate). There are multiple openings for this position. Scheduling is part time, flexible and may be short or long term, but a commitment is required. Dallas/Fort Worth locals are encouraged to apply as housing is not provided.  Résumés, references and cover letters may be sent to Eric Tysinger. No phone calls, please.
