Meet Dayron J. Miles, the newest member of DTC’s Community and Audience Engagement team, responsible for connecting DTC with the city we live in.
DTC: Where are you from?
Dayron Miles: Toledo, OH
DTC: What are three words that best describe you?
DM: Fun. Passionate. Considerate.
DTC: When did you realize that theater/engagement was for you?
DM: I grew up in a pretty athletic family, and when I did not find my “group” among the athletes, I started performing. When I discovered that theatre kids were like me and shared my passions…I found my home.
DTC: What are some of your favorite plays?
DM: Some of my favorite plays AND musicals include…
Bring It On: The Musical
Other Desert Cities
In the Heights
DTC: What are your first impressions of Dallas Theater Center?
DM: I think the Dallas Theater Center is an AMAZING place… the staff is super creative and the ideas FLY! What a great environment in which to collaborate!
DTC: What are you most looking forward to about Community and Audience Engagement?
DM: I am really looking forward to exploring ways to expose all of the great work DTC does in the same way the Wyly Theatre was designed… all windows, all doors that the ENTIRE community can see and enter!
DTC: Tell us a little about what you’ll be doing at DTC.
DM: I will be working with all of the departments to identify how we can deepen, begin, and maintain meaningful relationships with the entire Dallas community.
DTC: What do you do when you’re not at the theatre?
DM: I am obsessed with literature! So, probably reading somewhere…
