Dallas Theater Center Guild Life Beyond the Stage
The Dallas Theater Center Guild has a proud legacy dating back to its inception in 1959. It was organized from the Women’s Committee to promote community awareness of and interest in Dallas Theater Center. Through volunteer service dedicated to Dallas Theater Center, Guild members have enjoyed the experience of live theater in an "up front and personal" manner.
Various committees within the Guild have allowed its members to serve and support DTC activities; Meet-and-Greet, Adopt an Artist, Tech Dinners and the annual Staff Appreciation event are just some of these opportunities. Over the years it has been very active in fundraising, most notably with the “A Dickens of a Christmas” gala. All of these projects are completely sponsored and provided by Guild members.
The Guild also serves as a resource for Dallas Theater Center by operating telephone campaigns or other patron cultivating projects, and maintains a Guild Endowment Fund for gifts honoring individuals or events and memorials.
There are a number of social activities that further enhance the Guild’s membership experience. Attending Guild events and working on various committees necessary to operate the Guild is not only a rewarding experience but results in lasting friendships.
