REBECCA CRIBBIN (Director of Production) began her theater career in sound production and design at The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, England. Her sound design work there included, James Maxwell’s adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Richard II, Sidewalk Sydney and James Baldwin's Blues for Mr. Charlie, winner of The Manchester Evening News award for Best Design Team. Five fruitful years later she joined the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) at its London home, The Barbican. Whilst at The Barbican, Rebecca worked on many RSC productions and several collaborations with LIFT; London International Festival of Theatre, working with a range of companies and artists including, The Deborah Colker Dance Company, Merce Cunningham Dance Company, Steppenwolf Theatre and Peter Sellars. After having toured Shakespeare’s and his contemporary’s works throughout the UK and major cities and festivals around the Globe including, Europe, Mexico, Japan, China, India, and the U.S., she moved to the RSC’s home in Stratford‐upon‐Avon. During the ten years in Stratford‐upon‐Avon, Rebecca project managed two new writing festivals for The RSC at London’s Hampstead Theatre and was the production manager for numerous shows in both The Swan and Royal Shakespeare Theatres. She worked on several world premieres whilst at the RSC including David Greig's Dunsinane, and the stage adaptations of Hilary Mantel's Booker prize‐winning novels, Wolf Hall and Bring up the Bodies. Looking for other artistic challenges, Rebecca left the RSC to take up the position of Director of Production at one of New York’s leading visual and performing arts organizations, Park Avenue Armory. Work there included the presentation of Germany’s Ruhrtriennale Festival’s De Materie, directed by Heiner Goebells, The Back Door, an art installation by British Turner Prize winning Artist, Martin Creed and An Occupation of Loss, a sculptural installation with sound, architecture and performance by the American artist, Taryn Simon. Rebecca joined Dallas Theater Center in November, 2016.
