Designing CAROL (posted 08-12-2013)

This year, DTC Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty is bringing to life a world premiere adaptation of A Christmas Carol at the Wyly Theatre. Audiences will still see the loving Cratchit family, cute Tiny Tim and the nasty Ebenezer Scrooge, but they’ll also be delighted with a brand new design. Moriarty has tapped a few favorite DTC designers to bring the story to life. DTC Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell will choreograph, costumes and set will be designed by Beowulf Boritt, Jeff Croiter will return for lighting design and the sounds of Broken Chord Collective will fill the performance hall once more. Though we can’t give away their designs just yet, here is a quick visual reminder of some of the design team’s amazing work at DTC.
