ARTISTIC PRODUCING FELLOW

This one-year fellowship is intended as a professional opportunity for emerging theater artists. The Artistic Producing Fellow will assist the artistic staff in administrating the artistic department. The essential duties will include scheduling, facilitating communication, serving as a liaison between the artistic department and the staff, board and community, and managing the artistic budget. The goal of the fellowship is to cultivate emerging theater professionals through direct experience in producing theater. In addition to working closely with Dallas Theater Center’s artistic staff and artists, the Artistic Producing Fellow will receive personalized career development opportunities, including opportunities for external professional growth and expansion. We are looking for emerging theater artists who have been historically under-represented in the artistic community.  Emerging theater artists from all diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply for consideration.

This is a one-year, full-time position, from July 28 2017-July 28 2018. Compensation: $500/week (40-hour week plus overtime, as earned) and benefits. Housing is not provided by DTC.

MANAGER OF CORPORATE RELATIONS

The Manager of Corporate Relations reports to the Director of Development and is a front-line fundraising position responsible for the solicitation and stewardship of all corporate partners (portfolio of 75-85 valued at approximately $725,000 and growing). Responsibilities include researching prospect companies, developing sponsorship and corporate gift proposals and/or grant applications, directly soliciting corporate contributions and sponsorships, planning and executing corporate events for sponsors, and creating and submitting final reports. The person in this position is responsible for recruiting new corporate donors and increasing the total contributions from corporate donors in alliance with DTC’s strategic plan. This position works directly with DTC artistic, education, and administrative staff, as well as members of the Board of Trustees.

MASTER CARPENTER

The Master Carpenter is responsible for ensuring that the scenic design is manufactured and built to the Technical Director’s specifications and in accordance with the design guidelines and limitations of each production. The Master Carpenter is an important role, providing a through line of information from the Technical Director to the scene shop and other production departments.

Dallas Theater Center seeks a Marketing Department Intern to provide support to DTC’s marketing department. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate college student with interest in arts marketing, public relations, digital media, ticketing, and media buying. Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and superior organizational and task management skills. Knowledge and experience with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media platforms.

Dallas Theater Center seeks a Web Content Intern to provide support to DTC’s marketing department. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate college student with interest in the arts and web management. Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and superior organizational and task management skills. Knowledge and experience with image editing software and CKEditor or other content management apps a plus.

STAGE MANAGEMENT OBSERVERS

Dallas Theater Center seeks Stage Management Observers for our 2015-2016 season. SM Observers will assist the Stage Management staff and have the opportunity to observe and participate in DTC rehearsals and tech rehearsals. This is a volunteer position and it is best suited, but not limited, to those interested in pursuing Stage Management as a career. Appropriate applicants may seek professional internship credit with his/her current college or university (as appropriate). There are multiple openings for this position. Scheduling is part time, flexible and may be short or long term, but a commitment is required.
