Dallas Theater Center is looking for a Properties Carpenter for the 2015-16 season. This will be a 52-week position with the opportunity for continuing work. The 2015-2016 season is a seven-show subscription season and A Christmas Carol.  As the Prop Carpenter you will use many skills and work on many different types of projects, however your main focus will be on finish carpentry and metal fabrication as it applies to furniture. More than half of your time will be spent working in the prop carpentry shop, building furniture from drawings and photographs and repairing or modifying existing furniture.

ANNUAL FUND MANAGER  (posted 3-9-15)

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Annual Fund Manager oversees all aspects of renewable fundraising from individuals, with a focus on gifts from $1 to $9,999. Responsibilities include recruiting and renewing donors to Dallas Theater Center’s membership circles (Friends@DTC and Benefactors), coordinating annual giving campaigns (including direct mail, telephone, email, and on-site) with the Director of Development and an outside consultant, and analyzing data to create strategies for increasing patron loyalty. The Annual Fund Manager collaborates with the Donor Services Associate and Development Office Coordinator to steward gifts. The Annual Fund Manager engages the Individual Giving Committee of the Board of Trustees in the solicitation process. As Dallas Theater Center embarks on an endowment campaign, the Annual Fund Manager will assist the Director of Development in identifying and researching prospects.

Dallas Theater Center is currently seeking an intern to join our Education Department during the months of June and July to provide leadership for our 2015 SummerStage program. This exciting summer internship is a hands-on, engaging opportunity for an individual interested in arts education, and the world of professional theater. SummerStage is DTC’s theater day camp and acting program that offers classes to over 350 students, ages 4-18, at the Wyly Theatre.  The SummerStage Intern will help design and execute the SummerStage program.  One position available.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT TEACHING ARTIST  (posted 1-16-15)


The Dallas Theater Center Community Engagement team seeks a part-time Community Engagement Teaching Artist to teach in DTC's community programs. The Community Engagement Teaching Artist will serve as one of the main teaching artists in Dallas Theater Center’s community engagement programs and as an advocate for DTC in the community.

An ideal candidate will be organized, energetic, flexible and have a passion for sharing theater with all people. This person will work with the education/engagement/and artistic teams of DTC to help create programs and develop community engagement strategies.

Stage Management Observers

Dallas Theater Center seeks Stage Management Observers for our 2015-2016 season. SM Observers will assist the Stage Management staff and have the opportunity to observe and participate in DTC rehearsals and tech rehearsals. This is a volunteer position and it is best suited, but not limited, to those interested in pursuing Stage Management as a career. Appropriate applicants may seek professional internship credit with his/her current college or university (as appropriate). There are multiple openings for this position. Scheduling is part time, flexible and may be short or long term, but a commitment is required.
